The cast for Smallville is a talented group of diverse individuals. And I’m always interested in diversity so I’m starting a little series to research the backgrounds of these Smallville cast members.
Since there are so many talented individuals, cast for Smallville, I’ll focus on a few of my favorite cast members first. In future post for my Cast for Smallville Series, I’ll focus on some more of my favorites cast members and hopefully we share some favorites, so you get to learn some fun little facts about your favorite cast members, that you didn’t know.
So here we go, let’s start with the main man…
There’s a few things that interests me about Tom Welling, first he seems like a down to earth person, a regular Joe that you would meet in college or play flag football with.
Second, bet you didn’t know Tom worked construction out of high school, and after construction he moved to Los Angeles and became a model. Guess he wanted to put those looks to use. Check out some modeling photos of Tom Welling.
Third, Tom starred (for a little while), beside Amy Brenneman, in Judging Amy, I love that show. He was Amy’s younger love interest, interesting huh. He played the role well.

Davis dies in a liquid cell of Kryptonite after Chloe pulls the switch.
Found Luthor’s Veritas diary, and discovered there were two ships that landed in Smallville the day of the meteor shower, Clark’s and Davis’s. Clark is the Traveler and Davis is Clark’s ultimate adversary (remember the two headed dragon).
Didn’t do much of the Red-Blue-Blur act this week it was all about Chloe and Davis Bloom. Clark did find evidence of a serial killer, took the evidence to Tess, she shot him down to run it on the front page of the Daily Planet.
Cooked Chloe dinner, cut his finger, Chloe saw him healed instantly and got a clue he’s not normal. Clark busted in on Chloe and Davis’s dinner, so Davis left to fill Doomday’s killing appetite.
Caught Davis in the act of dumping a body in the field that Clark and his ship landed, then she blew up Davis in his car, but he survived, healed the next day.
Went to investigate Davis’s blown up car, Clark x-rayed the field and discovered the field is where Davis dumps all his victims’ bodies.
Tess houses Davis as he heals. When he’s better, tells him he needs to fulfill his destiny as Clark’s ultimate adversary and put Clark to the test so Clark can become the Superman he’s suppose to become. Davis knocks Tess out and leaves.
Davis goes to Chloe and ask if she will be with him, Chloe says no, Davis ask him to help kill him since she won’t be with him. Chloe takes Davis back to a Luther Lab to kill him with liquid kryptonite.
Clark superspeeds to the lab, tells Chloe not to kill Davis, to give him another chance because he didn’t have the same chances to have a normal life. Chloe throws the switch, Davis dies, Clark is hurt too because of the liquid kryptonite.
Davis is still alive, the kryptonite made him stronger, he appears a day later and ask Chloe to stay with him because she calms him from turning into Doomsday, she stays because she cares so much for Clark she doesn’t want Davis to hurt him.

I visit a lot of Smallville web sites and I see comments about why people hate Smallville. I respect their opinions but I want to let you know why I don’t hate Smallville.
There are not many chances to watch a good Superman story. We have the movies, and some past series: Superboy, The Great Adventures of Superman, and who can forget the great Lois and Clark. But I enjoy Smallville, because it’s the best Superman story that is currently being told.
Even though Smallville is the story of Clark Kent in his younger years, it’s an original spin because it tells the story of a young Clark Kent as he develops, which has never been seen on television.
Smallville hits on the drama, especially by showing the sacrifices Clark goes through on a “weekly” basis. We don’t see those dramatic sacrifices in depth in the Superman movies or comics, but we do in Smallville.
So as long as Smallville’s writers keep telling me the Superman/Clark Kent story in a new way, and keeps evolving as they tell it, I’ll keep watching. Thank you Smallville writers and creators.

Currently, Kristin Kreuk isn’t married to anyone… or let me correct that, I don’t think she’s married to anyone. According to a lot of Kristin Kreuk’s, Who’s Dated Who Website Fans, Kristin should be married to Smallville leading man Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent on the show.
Many sites have reported Ms. Kreuk dating Mark Hildreth but it seems like that relationship is old news. So for now we don’t know if Kristin Kreuk is married or dating, and she probably doesn’t want us to know. Let’s just hope CW keeps producing quality episodes of Smallville, and Kristin’s character Lana keeps kicking butt.

Season 6 of Smallville Baby!!
The season opener was cool. I thought the writers were going to draw the Zod plot out a couple of shows, but they wrapped it up in one show, which is peculiar, but I think we will be seeing Zod again in the future though.
It’s funny how everyone dies for Clark and he has no remorse. Isn’t he sick of being the cause of everyone death: Jonathan Kent, the girl in the Phantom Zone, Fortress of Solitude… need I say more.
As far for season predictions, I think this is the season my main man Pete will be back. I’m telling you, he’s due for a job “Sam Jones” hasn’t been in anything in a while (at lease I haven’t seen him) so he’s definitely, probably, maybe, ok … there a slight chance of him showing up on Smallville. Alright, below I’ll give you my season predictions for the characters of the show.
Clark
This guy going to lose it this season, so much crap (misfortune) has happen to him, he’s got to be ready to snap, his substitute father (Jonathan Kent) died and now he can’t speak to his other dead father (Jor-El). This guy is going to go overboard, I see him abusing his powers this season, at least give us one show where he just completes goes nuts on everyone you know, super speeding through people making them explode, burning them up, probably freezing them up, the list can go on. I mean everyone knows he got powers now; the writers should exploit that fact.
Lana
It seems like Lana has no life, so I think she’s going to get a life again, she can’t be Lex’s honey for the whole season, she must do something else, maybe she will open up a little shop at school or something.
Lois
Hopefully we will see more Lois in the picture, I think her character bring freshness to the show. I would like to see Lois go to the bad side this year, doing something that is totally against her character, maybe she, and Clark, can lose their minds at the same time and go awol on everyone.
Chloe
More reporting, more Clark, less talking. Hopefully less Jimmy, he seems like his part will be annoying. I don’t think they cast him right.
Lionel & Martha
I have no clue what Lionel will be up to but I think he has his eye on Martha and vice versa.

Hypnotic, Void, Fragile, Mercy, and Oracle, are the name so the last five episodes left in this 5th season of Smallville. So far the season has been pretty eventful.
Eventful Season Reflections
In Arrival we get a vist from some Killer Kryptonians looking to do Kal-El in. In Mortal Clark becomes human and him and Lex duke it out, very cool. Hidden we see Clark and Lana, DO-DA-DO, Clark dies, comes back from the dead, gets his powers back and saves Smallville. And for the rest of the episodes, blah, blah, blah until Jonathan dies in Reckoning. So there are 5 more shows left Hypnotic, Void, Fragile, Mercy, and Oracle, are the name so the last five episodes left in this 5th season of Smallville. With names like that there can be some predictions of what happens. Take a guess and leave your thoughts in comments, then I will tell you what I think.

I enjoyed this episode, I really did. Reckoning started out grea, first Clark sharing his secret with Lana, teleporting her to the Fortress of Soliture, showing her his powers by super-propelling her to an ice-ledge, where he drips the M-BOMB on her…very cool. This episode threw me for a loop because I thought Clark and Lana was going to be together, she said Yes for gosh sakes, and I thought everything was going to work out for them, it would be him and her against the world, then after 10 minutes reality sets in and after the commercial break Lana dies! Then after Clark was given another chance to make things right I kinda new Jonathan was going to bite the bucket (just due to the previous Superman story-line). To bad… John Schneider was a great addition to the show and he will be missed. I know producers/writers will have him back in some shape or form.
One of the other compelling events in the show is Lionel trying to blackmale Jonathan, with what appears to be dirt on Clark (mostly likely a shot of Clark doing something “super-stupid” in public like catching car, heating his girl-friend’s hot chocolate with his heat-vision at the ice skating rink, cathing bullets in his hand in public, etc. you pick one. Lionel trying to blackmale the Kents show that Lionel knows about Clark’s abilities and something big is coming up because he’ll be moving his queen in for check-mate soon.
I think Jonathan dying and Lionel moving in for the kill totally changes the dynamic of the show. Now Clark has to grow up, and he’ll probably be going to the Fortress of Solitude to get his super-traning so he can learn how to fly or at least make some icicles with his breath… he has to learn something new. I’m very eager to see where he and the show goes from here.

Cool Writing
You have to admit this episode is cool. Introducing another superhero character into the WB family. I wonder if there will be a Justice League series in the future on WB. The actor selected to play Aquaman actually looked like Aquaman and it was good to see Clark get another buddy to fight for the good of humanity with. It was also nice but distrubing to see Lex actually showing his true self, his evil, ” I don’t care who I hurt” side or his personality. I think “Evil Lex” is the only side of him we will be seeing in the future, good Lex is dead. “Lex Luthor Rise!!”
Here are my reactions to this episode…
Lex
Why is Lex getting eviler and eviler in ever episode, he seems like he’s hitting the big leagues with the evil advances he taking, i.e. in episode “Mortal†testing Clark by risking the lives of the Kent family and Lana, “Hidden†trying to put Lana against Clark by stating Clark is lying to her, and this episode by developing a deadly weapon that has no regard for the dead-sea-life it creates. This guys is off his rocker.
Lana
She’s really not a factor in this one.
Chloe
I just love how she says “Special Abilitiesâ€, she loves that she is the only friend on the show that knows Clark’s secret. I bet she will hold it over Lana’s head one day. “I know Clark’s secret and you don’t†She seems like the type.
Clark
It seems he’s kind of jealous that another super ability player is on the field, although I think the jealousy is truly overridden by his genuine worry about Aquaman’s intentions towards Lex and Lois.
The Kents
They’re just happy Clark got his powers back last episode, now they don’t have to do their part of the labor at the Kent farm.
Lois
She wants some boo-dy from fish-man but she’s scared to admit it. Although I may be wrong, it does look like Aquaman’s breath stinks, he is a fish after-all!
