So what did you guys think about the Smallville’s Season 5 opener, I want to get your opinions first, so I’m not going to comment until you guys comment.
What do you guys think about the opener, what you think is going to happen next episode, and later on in the season.
I thought it was pretty good, but I think they blew their entire CGI budget on this episode. The Zods were in credible lame. All Clark had to do is shove them in that triangle thingy … and they were gone? So I am guess that Clark was more powerful than them which is why they needed his help. So is Jor-El for or against Earth? I thought he wanted Clark to take over the planet, now he wants him to help protect it? I am confused.
Lana: She is a mess. She should get her own wing in the hospital considering that she has spent so much time there. Lana noticed that the female Zod had a tattoo similar to one she had; so does this mean that Lana is some part alien?
Chloe: I love her. We need more Chloe and less Lana.
Lois: Not really seeing the point of her character.
I really hoped that Clark would stay at the FoS (Fortress of Solitude) for 7 years (?) so that this season they could have him working at the Daily Planet. He is starting to look a bit old to be playing a teenager.
Other than that, good episode.
I will have to agree with killervirgo in saying less Lana. Her character’s getting a little soggy. Also Lois shouldn’t even be making an appearance in the series until after Clark goes to the Daily Planet.
Producers still need to work on there CGI, it was a bit lame.
I missed about 15min of the episode right in the middle, but what I did catch was pretty good.
Looks like Chloe is in some hot water with Lex. Maybe he’ll kill her this season.
The CGI was hott. Don’t expect a budget TV show to give you blockbuster LOTR CGI.
Clark: Definitely liked the fact that they actually had him go to the Fortress of Solitude. I think he will be back there pretty soon, probably next episode to finish the “educationâ€. After next episode, the producers will probably speed up time, 3 months ahead, to catch us up with the September timeline. Of course he getting his powers back in the next two episodes.
Lex: This year I think we will see Lex and his Dad start to work together to find out about Clark’s secret. I think this is the year Lex lets loose and show his evil side. He’s sick of people lying to him, treating his like a ball-headed outcast. I definitely see Clark and Lana getting together and as soon as Lana is used as bait to draw out Clark’s secret he’s going to break up with her.
Lana: She going to be Clark’s love slave, at least for half the season. I love her, we need more Lana, and less Chloe.
Chloe: She’s trying to take Lana’s shine, she needs to stop waving her big booty in front of Clark. (J/K) Chole is cool, she’ll probably be Clark’s closest friend now, and Lana will be jealous because she’ll realize Chloe knows Clark’s secret, and she doesn’t.
Lionel: Will be his evil self again. Hopefully NO-HOLDS-BAR this season.
New Clark’s Ability: Well the guy is in the North Pole, he must get the cool breath. It would be defintely be cool to fly, but I think they are going to hold off on that.
Martha & Jonathan: I don’t see them dying anytime soon. Eventually I think Jonathan will die when the series ends.
The Writers/Producers (Al Gough & Miles Millar): These guys are great. I like their writing style and where they are going with the show.
Oh.. and don’t forget Pete: He’s coming back this year strong as ever.
how do you know pete’s coming back?
Because Smallville needs another “Token-Black”. I miss Pete, he was a good complement to Clark, they were good together. I guess Chloe is going to fill Pete’s shoes as Clark’s “best friend”, I know Lana is going to get a little jealous later on in the season.
